Another Milestone for Famous Trains! Our 70,000th Visitor Has Arrived!

We are happy to announce that Famous Trains has just had its 70,000th visitor!

On Saturday afternoon (18th January 2025) a family group, mother, father, son, daughter-in-law and grandson visited Famous Trains Model Railway in Markeaton Park Derby.

Following a visit to the "Silk Mill" they saw a Famous Trains leaflet and the grandson insisted in visiting. So they came to Famous Trains and the father, Richard Whincup, found himself to be the 70,000th visitor.

Richard Whincup, just turned 71, is a retired railway worker from the Carrage and Wagon "G Shop" and was very happy that his grandson insisted in coming to Famous Trains. He has recieved a £30 gift voucher along with a Famous Trains gift bag.

The photograph below shows Richard receiving his commemorative certificate from our Chairman, Adrian Maynard.
