A Train of Boxes

Under the pretext that it is 'modern' (that is post steam age), we now run a model Freightliner train on our Chinley OO-scale model railway. This has been supplied by trustee Peter Swift, at least as far as the wagons and containers are concerned. The locomotive in our picture is Tim Boocock's old Mainline Co-Co 56 134, which still looks good and runs well after over thirty years!

The train is formed of two sets of five low-floor bogie wagons, and must rank as our most colourful train yet.

This train is running among many others during opening hours, from 11am to 4pm. If you watch the trains pass through our model of Chinley station for long enough, you will surely see this one.
